HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003 10-15 EACM EAC Meeting Notes for October 15, 2003 Present: Kristi Commers, Becky Boie, Denise Hanson, Patti Page, Tara Jude, Jeannine Pfann Minutes from September 17, 2003, meeting were approved. Toys for Tots Each EAC member should put out a collection box for Toys for Tots on Monday, December 1, 2003, (the Monday after Thanksgiving). Toys will be picked up in mid-December. Holiday Luncheon The Holiday Luncheon is Wednesday, December 10, 2003. Tara will work on a flyer that will be distributed to all employees with their November 21, 2003, paycheck. Tentative menu of roast beef, chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy was discussed. Becky will get pricing from Barnacle Bill’s and e-mail details to EAC members. Last year’s pricing included two entrees, potato, vegetable, salad, dinner rolls, butter and beverages. EAC members will bring desserts. Tara volunteered to work on the games. Jeannine will send her copies of last year’s games plus additional game choices. There will be a different game played in each session. Jeannine also has holiday copy paper left from last year that she will give to Tara. Games winners will receive a $10.00 gift certificate. EAC will draw for additional door prizes. A preliminary list of possible gift certificate merchants was discussed. A list will be compiled for EAC members and EAC will decide on which ones to purchase at its next meeting. Jeannine has a list of questions to ask Michael McCauley regarding discussion items. New EAC Members Outgoing members, Robin Hartfiel, Ed Atanasoff, Gary Gilpin and Jeannine Pfann, should bring the name of the person that will be replacing them to the November meeting. After lengthy discussion, Tara Jude and Patti Page agreed to co-chair EAC for 2004. Thank you, Tara and Patti! Other Discussion EAC has the opportunity to sell Entertainment coupon books for the reduced price of $20.00. Books usually sell for $25.00. Jeannine will handle sale of books. The City is offering free flu shots to employees and their families who are covered by the city’s Medica plan. Non-Medica members can receive the shot for $16.00. A minimum of 50 city Medica members must sign up in order for the flu shot clinic to be held. There will be no long lines like last time because all shots will be given by appointment. Call Patti Page to schedule your appointment. Last year EAC did not meet in December. The members present decided to meet in December this year so that we can discuss the Holiday Luncheon and tie up any loose ends. Next meeting is Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at the City Garage.
