EMPLOYEE ACTION COMMITTEE
MINUTES FROM AUGUST 21, 2002
Roll Call: Jenny Whiting, Maria Rosenbaum, George Jennrich, Ed Atanasoff,
Gary Coleman, Gary Gilpin, Jeannine Pfann, and Kristi Commers
CEAP
We will do the CEAP food drive from August 26-30, 2002. EAC members may
obtain recycling containers from the Garage to gather donated boxes. The contest
between departments to be decided by taking total number boxes contributed in
each department divided by number of employees in that department. The winning
department will receive homemade cookies baked by City Manager Michael
McCauley. Call Jeanine September 3 with box count.
Christmas Party
Party is set for December 17 at Constitution Hall. Looking for ideas for
entertainment. Gary Coleman will be checking with the high school. Haven’t
confirmed with Barnacle Bills regarding menu or costs. EAC will provide desserts.
Jeanine provided 4 trivia game possibilities for EAC to think about.
Toys for Tots
Will begin after Thanksgiving. To be discussed further next meeting.
Golf Outing
Set for September 19. Ed Atanasoff, Gary Coleman, George Jennrich and Gary
Gilpin are doing the planning. There will be prizes for longest drive, best putt,
closet to pins, etc. $15.00 fee will cover greens fee, food and prizes. Clubs are
available for rent. Open to employees and their families. Teams will consist of 3-5
people. Flyer coming out at a later date with further details.
Next meeting will be at West Fire Station at 9:30 a.m. on September 18, 2002.
