EMPLOYEE ACTION COMMITTEE
MINUTES FROM JUNE 19, 2002
ROLL CALL: Gary Coleman, Jenny Whiting, Gary Gilpin, Jeannine Pfann, Maria
Rosenbaum, Robin Hartfiel, and Josh Marsh.
PICNIC
Jeannine brought FLIK over to check out where the picnic will be held. About 100 people
st
signed up for the picnic so far. The deadline is Friday, June 21. Jeannine will send an email
to remind everyone again. Maintenance will take care of picnic tables. In case of rain where
are we going to have it? Check with Jim to see if Constitution Hall will be ready. Help with
clean up!
CEAP
After picnic get food drive going for August. Get barrels for food drive from CEAP. Have
incentive-departments against departments; the departments with the most items or
pounds have pizza party or bagels or rolls. Maria will check with City Manager for money or
OK on that. Have a goal; make a chart. Jeannine, Diane, and Robin will help with food drive.
CHRISTMAS PARTY
ththth
The dates for the Christmas party will be December 17, 18, or 19. Maria will check with
the City Manager on a date and if the city will give money towards the party or prizes.
Menus from Simek’s and Barnacle Bills were brought to the meeting. We like the idea of
Barnacle Bills catering it. Gary will check on cost ($10.00 per person) and other details. We
will try to keep cost $10-$11 range, maybe charge 50 cents or a $1.00 more for prizes and
build up funds for other EAC events or items. Need to check on Constitution Hall if
available. The committee will provide desserts and possibly coffee and pop. Have trivia
game and entertainment. Put article in newsletter if anyone or group would be interested in
providing entertainment for Christmas party. Maybe BC High School choir could perform.
CLOTHING
st
Last day to order clothing is Friday, June 21. Only received a few orders so far. Next
time have denim shirts ; check on cost for department names added on item along with logo.
TOYS FOR TOTS
Probably start after Thanksgiving for a couple weeks. Police will bring over toys. The garage
has rolls, coffee and juice and collects money for toys to be purchased.
