EMPLOYEE ACTION COMMITTEE
MINUTES FROM NOVEMBER 21, 2001
Roll Call:
Gary Coleman, Kristi Commers, George Jenrich, Sharon Kutzke, Ed Lovelace, Dave
Valker, Diane Willgohs, and Jenny Whiting
Holiday Luncheon:
The holiday luncheon is Tuesday, December 18, from 11:00 to 1:00, at the
West Fire Station. Sharon will be there at 7:45 a.m. so that people can drop off their food before
they go to work. Jenny will send sign-up sheets and flyers to EAC members, and they will be
responsible for posting them and returning the sign-up sheets to Maria by December 7. There
will be no entertainment this year due to limited space, so we will play holiday CDs. We will
not collect hats & mittens at the luncheon because CEAP needs them by December 14.
Responsibilities:
Mail invitations to retirees: Sharon
Purchase gift certificates: Maria and Jenny
Golf certificates: George
Names for drawing: Maria or Sharon
Trivia game: Maria
Beverages: Gary and Dave
Name tags: Sharon
We have an assortment of items left from last year, including serving spoons, decorations, red &
green tablecloths, plastic spoons & knives, desert plates, napkins, salt & pepper, and aluminum
foil. We will meet again on Wednesday, December 12, 10:00, at West Fire to finalize the plans.
George suggested that we form a shopping committee and do the shopping immediately after the
meeting.
CEAP Food Drive:
The committee decided to collect hats and mittens instead of food. Ed
Lovelace will distribute boxes to city hall, the police dept., the garage, EBHC and BC Liquor.
He will collect the hats and mittens and deliver them to CEAP before Friday, December 14.
Toys For Tots:
Gary will coordinate the collection. He will distribute boxes to city hall, the
police dept., the garage, EBHC, and BC Liquor.
Other Business:
Members who are at the end of their second year are reminded to start
recruiting their replacement.
Future Meetings:
Holiday luncheon planning meeting on Wednesday, December 12, 10:00, at West Fire
The December meeting that was originally scheduled for December 19 was changed to
Wednesday, January 2, 11:30, at the police department. Pizza will be served.
