Minutes from June 20, 2001
Roll Call: Gary Coleman, Denise Hanson, Michael Krech, Sharon Kutzke,
Maria Rosenbaum, and Bonnie St. Dryden
Picnic Evaluation: The picnic was a success. Comments received were positive and it
should be noted that Flik should be kept in mind for future picnics.
Upcoming Events: Brown Bag Lunch Seminars were discussed in detail. It was the
consensus of the EAC to have a seminar on Crime Prevention.
Gary Coleman will be the speaker and prepare the flyer. Maria
Rosenbaum will be getting the information for lunch which will be
provided by Davanni's and get the flyers to payroll for distribution
with paychecks on July 7, 2001. Gary will check to make sure
there is a room available at the Police Department on July 25, 2001
for the location of the seminar.
Gary will check with on the possibility of having another Brown
Bag Lunch Seminar in September regarding something with the
Fire Department.
A survey will be distributed to all employees requesting their input
or suggestions for the future Brown Bag Lunch Seminars after the
Crime Prevention seminar.
Holiday Party: The Holiday Party is scheduled for December 18, 2001. This issue
will be discussed closer to the event. Gary informed the EAC that
the City Manager has indicated that some money will be provided
to the EAC for door prizes and that the EAC will not need to have
a fundraiser.
Other Business: Sharon Kutzke questioned what the EAC could do to get better
participation from EAC members. There were no actions
suggested.
Department Updates: Gary discussed the Police Department has had several new
changes. There are two new detectives and one new sergeant.
Dave Grass, who has been with the City for 26 years, will be
retiring and his last day is July 1, 2001.
Denise Hanson updated the EAC on things that the Public Works
employees are working on which included street projects,

sealcoatmg, the past weekend Dudley Tournament the upcoming

Earle Brown Days events, and the 2002 budget.
Sharon discussed that Shelli Regnier, Utilities Technician I will be
leaving and her last day is July 13, 2001.
Next Meeting: July 18, 2001, at 9:00 a.m. in Conference Room B. Gary and Sharon will
not be at this meeting.
