HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000 10-18 EACM EAC Meeting Minutes October 18, 2000 Those present. Marc Booth, Kelli Wick, Carol Holt, Jean Gould, Dave Valker, Ed Lovelace, Gary Coleman, Sharon Kutzke, and Bonnie St. Dryden. Approval of Minutes September minutes approved with adding Dave Valker in attendance. Old Business - Holiday Luncheon Survey Results - After checking into a caterer we were not able to meet the price range acceptable to city employees, therefore, the Holiday Luncheon will be potluck for 2000. A flyer will be distributed closer to luncheon date (December 19, 2000). A sign -up form to help with the luncheon will be included on the flyer. Jane has agreed to play the piano. It was suggested to contact a school singing group to see if they would be interested in singing for part of the luncheon. Jean Gould will type the name tags. Door prizes will be reviewed at the next meeting. The funding available to the Employee Action Committee totals $138.86. -Other Holiday Activities - The Committee discussed continuing with CEAP or looking for another agency for the food/clothing drive. It was decided to stay with CEAP for 2000. Kelli Wick will contact CEAP to find out their needs and preferred dates of delivery. The police department will be sponsoring the Toys for Tots drive beginning November 20, 2000. The Committee discussed having drop -off containers at the liquor stores as well the other city locations. The Committee also discussed sponsoring families. It was decided that the Committee would not pursue that option for 2000. -Third Brown Bag Lunch - Home Fire Prevention - It was discussed that there will be no third brown bag lunch for 2000. -Tour of the Fire and Police Stations. The Committee discussed whether anybody would still be interested in a tour at this time. Ron will be reviewing. EAC Miscellaneous - Next meeting date - Wednesday, November 15, 2000 at 9 - 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers.
