Brooklyn Park - Vending machine funded. Separate checking account. Spend less than $300 /yr. Do fundraisers. Burnsville - Employee funded. Vending machine funds go for picnic and holiday party. They spent approx. $300 in 1997 for flowers & gifts. Columbia Heights - Council and City Manager funding. Separate checking account - Good procedure. Coon Rapids - $5.00 collected periodically from participating employees to keep balance around $100. Separate checking account. Eagan - Participating employees donate $3.00 /yr. Garage and Police handle their own. Fridley - Pop machine funded. They only send cards. Separate checking account. $200 balance. Hopkins - Funding comes from vending machines. Spend approx. $150 /yr. 35 members. Maple Grove - $.50 taken out per check for participating members. Separate checking account. Good Procedure. New Hope - Council and pop machine funded. Also participating members pay $3 /per paycheck. Approx. 30 members. Oakdale - Employee funded. Participating employees pay $35 per month. Spend approx. $150 /yr. with approx. 21 members. Plymouth - City funded. Shorewood - City Council handles on a case by case basis. Funded from Council contingency budget. Spring Lake Park - Participating employees pay $1.00 /month donations collected quarterly. Spend approx. $240 /year with approx. 20 members.
