HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-010 CCRadoption: Member Kay Lasman RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -10 introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED USE OF 2011 URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center is one of 40 Hennepin County communities which are members of the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has been notified by Hennepin County that its preliminary estimated allocation for the 2011 Urban Hennepin County CDBG Program is $203,588; and WHEREAS, a public hearing regarding the proposed use of 2011 Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant funds is a requirement of the CDBG Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1. A public hearing on the proposed use of 2011 Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant funds will be held at the regularly scheduled Brooklyn Center City Council meeting on February 14, 2011, at approximately 7 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. 2. Staff is authorized and directed to publish the attached Notice of Public Hearing on the proposed use of 2011 Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant funds in the City's official newspaper not later than ten days prior to February 14, 2011. January 10, 2011 Date ATTEST: City Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dan Ryan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Carol Kleven, Kay Lasman, Tim Roche, and Dan Ryan; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
