As you can see, our mission is far reaching. How do we plan to accomplish this? By identifying six regions in Brooklyn Center, each centered around an elementary school, and six major topics of exploration, wherein the schools, non - profits, service organizations, businesses, and community members with the city, along with experts from the surrounding region will work together to create exhibits and activities focused on their topic. The six basic topics of exploration for the Fest are Reduce (energy conservation, waste reduction, toxicity reduction)), Reuse, Recycle, Clean Water, Clean Air and Growing Green (gardening, urban forestry, food production). The BC Fest is gathering momentum. We're excited about this opportunity to bring our community together with some of the knowledgeable and talented folks inside and outside our city, as we share a wealth of information on sustainable practices!
