SPECIAL SESSION
NOVEMBER 4, 1980
CITY HALL
CALL TO ORDER
The City Council met in special session as an election canvass board and was
called to order by Mayor Dean Nyquist at 9:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Mayor Dean Nyquist, Councilmembers Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and
Celia Scott. Also present were City Manager Gerald Splinter, City Clerk Allen
Lindman, City Assessor Peter Koole, Director of Planning and Inspections Ron
Warren, and Administrative Assistants Brad Hoffman and Tom Bublitz.
CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS
The City Council proceeded to canvass the City election returns at the various
City precincts, reporting ballots cast in the City of Brooklyn Center contests
as follows:

RESOLUTION NO. 80 -268
Upon completing the election canvass member Tony Kuefler introduced the
following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF NOVEMBER 4, 1980 CITY ELECTION
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and
Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
ADJOURNMENT
There was a motion by Councilmember Fignar and seconded by Councilmember Scott
to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor: Mayor Nyquist, Councilmembers Kuefler,
Fignar, Lhotka, and Scott; voting against: none, the motion passed unanimously.
The Brooklyn Center City Council adjourned at 12:42 a.m.
