HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974 09-10 CCM Special Session-Election Canvass MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA SPECIAL SESSION SEPTEMBER 10, 1974 CITY HALL Call to Order The Brooklyn Center City Council met in special session as an election canvass board at 8:45 p.m. Roll Call Mayor Cohen, Councilmen Britts, Fignar and Kuefler. Also present were City Manager Donald Poss and City Clerk Allen Lindman. Canvass of The City Council proceeded to canvass the primary Primary Election election returns at the various City precincts, reporting Returns ballots cast in City of Brooklyn Center contests as follows : Candidates for Office of City Councilman Ballot Count Maurice Britts 1,603 Phyllis Plummer 643 Burton Petersen 363 RESOLUTION Upon completing the election canvass, member Maurice NO. 74-182 Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF SEPTEMBER 10, 1974 CITY PRIMARY ELECTION The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, and Bill Figna r; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Adjournment Motion by Councilman Fignar and seconded by Council- man Kuefler to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor were: Mayor Cohen, Councilmen Britts, Fignar and Kuefler. Voting against: none.
