HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954 02-10 CCM Regular SessionMinutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, including all accounts audited by said Council February 10, 1954 The Village Council met in regular session, and called to order by Arthur Paulson, Mayor, at 8 :00 P.M. The following members were present: Arthur Paulson Wayne Gageby Glen Sonnenberg Allen Landman Paul Weekly The minutes of the regular meeting held on January 27, 1954 were approved as read. Motion made by Allen Landman and seconded by Wayne Gageby to create a Petty Cash Fund for the Village Office in the amount of $25.00. Motion carried. Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Paul Weekly that the H. Conrad Mfg Co. be paid $222.00 for additional work in the Municipal Liquor Store. All members voting in favor of this motion, motion carried. The following appointments were made by Arthur Paulson, Mayor. Planning Commission: Gordon R. Whitnak Merrill Stodghill Sigurd Edling Heating Inspector: Wallace Brush - to be paid 50% of the fees Plumbing Inspector: Emil Carlson - to be paid $75 per mo. plus 60 mileage Motion made by Paul Weekly and seconded by Wayne Gageby to accept the appointments made by Arthur Paulson. Motion carried. Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the Heating Contractor's Licenses be extended to May 1, 19541 all licenses be renewed on this date hereafter. All members voting in favor of this motion, motion carried. Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Allen Landman that the Village oil Dupont Avenue North from 57th Ave. N. to 225 feet North thereof, and the costs to be paid by Mr. Bobendrier, and as street has been brought to grade, no gravel will be required. All members voting in favor of this motion, motion carried. Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Paul Weekly to accept the Justice reports of H. Russell Jones and Aldor R. Nunn, University of Minnesota,Earle Brown and the Chairman of the Planning Commission. Motion carried.
