of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and
State of Minnesota, including all accounts audited by said Council
December 8, 1954
The Village Council met in regular session and called to order
by Mr. Wayne Gageby, acting Mayor, at 8:15 p.m.
The following members were present: Wayne Gageby, Glen Sonnen-
berg, Allen Lindman and Paul Weekly. Absent: Arthur Paulson.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on November 24, 1954
were approved as read.
Motion made by Glen Sonnenberg and seconded by Allen Lindman
that corrected cards be published covering the various phone numbers of
the various municipal offices of the Village, all members voting in favor
of this motion. Motion carried.
Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg
to accept the election returns of the Village election held on December 7,
1954. Motion carried.
Member Wayne Gageby introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of
Brooklyn Center has heretofore approved Oiling
Improvement 1954 -1, and
WHEREAS, at said time the Village Council had not
then determined whether said work was to have
been done by contract or by day labor, and
WHEREAS, subsequent thereto the Village Council
undertook to do all of the oiling improvements
including Oiling Improvement 1954 -1 by d.ay
labor, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council inadvertently omit-
ted a resolution to that effect in the minutes
of its proceedings,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village
Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center that
the work on Oiling Improvement 1954 -1 by day
labor is hereby approved and ratified in all
respects as though a formal resolution to that
effect had been placed in the minutes prior to
the commencement of such work.
Member Paul Weekly seconded the foregoing resolution and upon
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof : Wayne Gageby,
Glen Sonnenberg, Al Lindman and Paul H. Weekly. The following voted against
the same: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly adopted.
Motion made by Glen Sonnenberg and seconded by Allen Lindman
that the bulk mailing fee of $10.00 be paid to the United States Post Office
for the year 1955. Motion carried.
Motion made by Glen Sonnenberg and seconded by Allen Lindman to
accept the Justice report presented by H. Russell Jones. Motion carried.
