HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955 03-01 CCM Special Session 222 Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, including,all accounts audited by said Council March 1, 1955 The Village Council met in special session and called to order by Arthur Paulson, Mayor, at 8 :15 P.M. The following members were present: Arthur Paulson, Wayne Gageby, Glen Sonnenberg, Allen Lindman and H. R. Jones. Motion made b Wayne Gageby and seconded b Glen Sonnenber to Y Yn g Y Y g accept for street purposes the Deed of M. C. Balfany covering that part of Lot Thirty -three (33), Auditor's Subdivision Number 216, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows; Commencing at a point in the East line of said Lot Thirty -three (33) distant Forty -seven and ninety -eight hundredths (47.98) feet South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence South Sixty -three (63) degrees and Thirty (30) Minutes West a distance of Two Hundred Fifteen and Two tenths (215.02) feet to the actual point beginning of the land to be described: thence Northwesterly and parallel with the Easterly line of Northport Drive to its intersection with the North line of said Lot Thirty - 'tree (33); thence West along said North line to the Easterly line of said Northport Drive; thence Southeasterly along the Easterly line of said North- port Drive a distance of One Hundred Seventy -eight and Ninety Hundredths (178.90) feet; thence Northeasterly to actual point of beginning. Motion carried. Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by H. R. Jones that the applications for position of Village Engineer be turned over to the Village Attorney, he in turn to submit them to the Examining Board for any action they see fit to take. Motion carried. Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by Wayne Gageby to accept the Justice reports presented by Aldor R. Johnson for the months of January and February, 1955• Motion carried. Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg that the Resolution identified as Improvement Commitments for VA Loan Purposes, covering Pearson's Northport 3rd Addition, passed by the Village Council on January 26, 1-955, be amended to include the following under Improvements to be made: Also installation of street-signs and planting of boulevard trees; also lay a minimum of six feet of sod along the swale of drainage easements in Blocks 5 and 6. Motion carried. Motion made by Glen Sonnenberg and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the Village of Brooklyn Center forward the sum of $25.00 to the Hennepin County Agricultural Society, sponsors of the Hennepin County Fair, and authorized by State Statutes. Motion carried. The following bill was audited and ordered paid: General I` #3186 Kenneth Bull Services $400.00 Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg to adjourn. Mayor Clerk l i
