Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council.
of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County
of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, including all
accounts audited by said Council
March 15, 1955
The Village Council met in special session and was called to
order by Arthur Paulson, Mayor, at 8:15 p.m.
The following members were present: Arthur Paulson, Wayne
Gageby, Glen Sonnenberg, Allen Lindman and H. R. Jones.
Motion made by Glen Sonnenberg and seconded by Allen Lindman
to accept the proposed Wichterman plat as recommended by the Planning
Commission and subject to all requirements of the Platting Ordinance
and to the opinion of the Village Attorney regarding assessments for
storm drainage. Motion carried.
Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg
to authorize the Village Clerk through assistant to acquire necessary
license books bound and pre- numbered as per auditors.' recommendation.
Motion carried.
The Audit Report for the Village of Brooklyn Center for the
year ending December 31, 1954 was reviewed by all members of the Coun-
cil, Kenneth Nordquist, P2ul Weekly, Edwin Peterson and Donald Draser.
Recommendations made by Hanley, Zimmerman & Moen, explained by Oiva
Penttila, were carefully noted and are to be carried out in 1 955-
Special recommendations noted are the following:
A receipt must be made out for all moneys received. There
shall be a registry made up, and all future receipt books are to be
bound and pre - numbered and a, record made of all books issued. Any
numbered receipts not usable shall be voided and turned in with the
book when it is filled. In the future all receipt books shall be
issued by H. R. Jones, Village Clerk.
Effective immediately a deposit of all moneys collected in
the Village Office shall be made to the representative accounts at
least once a week or more often if the cash amounts to over $5,000.
Insofar as possible accountant Kenneth L. Nordquist is to
carry out recommendation number 6 in the Auditors' Report relative
to arranging ledger accounts.
Motion made and duly carried to adjourn.
