HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955 04-19 CCM Special Session 239 i Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, including all accounts audited by said Council April 19, 1955 The Village Council met in special session and was called to order by Arthur Paulson, Mayor, at 8:10 P.M. The following members were present: Arthur Paulson, Allen Lindman, Glen Sonnenberg and H. R. Jones. Wayne Gageby was absent. Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Allen Lindman to accept the final plat of Twin Lake Woods 2nd. Addition, subject to all the restrictions of the Platting Ordinance, and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign the same, with the recommendation that Minder Engineering Company give the Village Council more specific recommendations on street preparation and finishing. Motion carried. . Member Glen Sonnenberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Bob Knowles Ford Company, 725 West Broadway, Minneapolis, Minnesota, for one 1955 Ford Mainline two -door police interceptor, as to specifications, color to be pine tree green, now red lights to be installed as to our specifications, Police Department to be consulted before lettering, said Bob Knowles Ford Company to accept 195 Mainline two. -door Ford in trade, the Village of Brooklyn Center to pay a net of $ 1,5+5.00 therefor, plus $ 20.00 for vinyl interior, from General Fluids as per Budget Levy, is hereby found, determined and declared to be the most favorable bid and is hereby accepted. The Clerk is directed to retain the check of said bidder and return all other checks to the unsuccessful bidders forthwith. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Allen Lindman, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Arthur Paulson, Allen Lindman, Glen Sonnenberg and H. R. Jones; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolu- tion was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg to write a letter to the Minnesota Railroad and Warehouse Commission relative to a portion permitting the Anoka- Minneapolis is Bus nc. to eliminate that or o p � pol Co., � p of the route from Highway 100 and 1 2 south to 0th Avenue west on 0th g � 5 , 5 , 5 Avenue to Highway 100, and back to the intersection of Highway 100 and 152. Motion carried. R. Jones and upon vote being taken thereon, all the members present voted in favor thereof, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Allen Lindman to accept for street purposes the Deed of Carl R. Gustafson and Eleanor R. Gustafson, husband and wife, covering Tract E., Registered Land Survey No. 307, Files of Registrar of Titles, County of Hennepin, Minnesota. Motion carried. Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg to direct a letter to Harold W. Hannay, Civil Defense for the Village of Brooklyn Center, stating that the 600 gallon truck tank given him for Civil Defense by the Standard Oil Company will be used for no other purpose than water and at the time it outgrows its usefulness, the Village will destroy it or sell it as junk.
