HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952 07-16 CCM Special Session MINUTES of -the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village o OR C R in the County of ^._.._. _....and State of Minnesota, including all accounts audited by said Council. ?1)�,/ 1 � 1%C5 j Pursuant: to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, was duly held at the Fire Hall in said Village on Wednesday, the 16th day of July, 1952, at I 8 :00 o'clock p.m. i The following members were present: Arthur Paulson Kenneth Sacre Paul Weekly Wayne Gageby Merrill Stodghill and the following were absent: None The Mayor announced that the council was met to receive, open aid consider bids for 14bor and materials in the oiling of parts of 49th, 50th, Zenith, Abbott and Beard Avenues North. The village clerk presented an affidavit showing publication of advertisement for bids in the official newspaper, which affidavit was examined and found to be in accordance with law and ordered placed on file. The Clerk then presented the bids which had been received. These were numbered consecutively and were then opened and examined and all persons who desired were given an opportunity to inspect all bids. Paul Weekly then moved that action on said bids be postponed until the next regular meeting of the council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing motion was duly seconded by Trustee Kenneth Sacre, and upon vote being taken thereof, the following voted in favor thereof: Arthur Paulson Kenneth Sacre Paul Weekly Wayne Gageby Merrill Stodghill and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said motion was declared duly passed and adopted. i Trustee Mr Merrill Stodghikl offered the following resolution and moved it I s adoption A RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF EASEMENT FOR STORM DRAIN PURPOSES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER AS E FOLLOWS: 1. It is hereby deemed to be necessary for the best interests of the Village to purchase an easement right of way for storm drain purposes only over the Southerly 15 feet of the North one -half of Lot 11, Lyndale Riverside Acres, Hennepin County, Minnesota, extending from its western boundary line to its eastern line. 2. Said easement may be subject to a covenant providing that any construction or laying of a storm drain system on said easement shall be carried out so that the surface of the property is restored to the same condition which it was in just prior to such construction except for the discharge terminal. 3• In return for said easement the payment of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) by the Village of Brooklyn Center to Jeanette Ostrowski, the owner of the North one -half of Lot 11, Lyndale Riverside Acres, is hereby authorized. 4. Upon payment of said sum and receipt of an easement conforming to the above, the Clerk is hereby authorized to receive the same on behalf of the Village and have said easement recorded with the Register of Deeds.
