Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village
Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center
in the County of Hennepin and State of

August 3l, 1966
The Village Council met in special session and was called to order
by Mayor Pro -tem Howard Heck at 8: IS P. M.
Roll Call: Present were Mayor Pro -tem Howard Heck, Earl Simons
and john Leary. Mayor Philip Cohen and Theodore Willard were absent.
Also present were: D. G. Foss, T. L. Hadd, P. vy. Holmlund and Roger
Van House.
The Village Council discussed the proposed budget for 1967.
Mayor Philip Cohen arrived at 8 :20 P.M. and assumed the chair.
Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by john Leary to table action
pertaining to the Shopper's City accessory building until September 12, 1966,
to allow the Administrator time to research the matter more fully. Motion
carried unanimously.
Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Earl Simons to direct the
Administrator to review the present burning ordinance and to prepare
recommended revisions of said ordinance for review by the Council. Motion
carried unanimously.
Member john Leary introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -264
RESOLOLOR FOR FACSIMILE SIGNATURE
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Earl Simons and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted
in favor thereof: Philip open, Earl Simons, john Leary and Howard Heck,
and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted.
The Village Council resumed the discussion of the proposed 1967
budget.
Morton by john any and seconded by Howard Heck to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimou ly. The Village Council adjourned at 11,05 P. M.
