Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village
Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center
In the County of Hennepin and State of
Minnesota
October 13, 1966
The Village Council met in special session and was called to order
by Mayor Philip Cohen at 8 :10 P.M.
Roll Call: Mayor Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, Howard Heck and
Theodore Willard were present. John Leary was absent. Also present
were: D. G. Foss, T. L. Hadd, James Johnston and Richard Cihoski.
Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Theodore Willard to
reopen the public hearing on Application No. 66030, as amended, sub-
mitted by Mason- Superamerica. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Allan Kunde, Court Reporter, was present and made a steno-
graphic record of the meeting.
The Mayor called upon Mr. Poss to present a summary of the
previous action of the Council in regard to the subject application.
Upon the completion of Mr. Poss' comments, the Mayor called upon Mr.
Josiah Brill, Counsel - for the applicant, for his comments; and thereafter,
a general discussion of facts pertaining to the application ensued.
Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Earl Simons that the
hearing be closed on Application No. 66030 as amended. Motion carried
unanimously.
Motion by Theodore Willard and seconded by Howard Heck that
the Council take action on the subject application and instruct the
administrative staff of the Village of Brooklyn Center to organize and
summarize the facts presented during the preceeding public hearing and
to present the material so organized to the Village Council on October 24,
1966 for consideration and final determination by the Council. Motion
carried unanimously.
Motion by Earl Simons and seconded by Howard Heck to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimously. The Village Council adjourned at 12 :40 A. M.
