M. Roll Call: Mayor Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard were present. Also present were D. G. Poss and Allen S. Lindman. After completing the canvass of the November 7, 1967 City election, member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -329 RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF NOVEMBER 7, 1967 CITY ELECTIONS WHEREAS, on November 7, 1967, a City election was held for the offices of Mayor, Councilman, Councilman (2 -year term); and WHEREAS, ballots were cast for candidates as follows: MAYOR VOTES RECEIVED Philip Q. Cohen 2,388 Jacqueline M. Snyder 776 COUNCILMAN John W. Leary 2,617 Dale Magnuson 1 COUNCILMAN (2 -Year term) Robert H. Quenroe 1,465 Earl K. Rydberg 1,691 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it is hereby determined through the canvass of the election that Philip Q. Cohen is declared the duly elected Mayor, John W. Leary is declared the duly elected Councilman, and Earl K. Rydberg is declared the duly elected Councilman (2 -year term) . November 7, 1967 Date ' Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by John Leary and seconded by Gordon Erickson that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried unanimously. The City C4 ncil adjourned at 9 :40 P. N Clerk Mayor I�
