M. and were conducted on a study tour of the City by the staff to observe signery. The group returned to City Hall at 7 :30 P.M. and the meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro -tem Howard Heck. Roll Call; Howard Heck, john Leary, Earl Rydberg and Theodore Willard. Also present were: D. G. Pos s,, Jerry Dulgar and Dick Cihoski. The City Manager discussed the proposed sign ordinance graph reviewing th fact that it illustrated a building mass vs. sign area relationship. He suggested that it seemed to be of concern to the Council that the small to medium sized businesses (as measured by square feet of building) would not be granted ade- quate signery under the graph as it was now drawn. An open discussion of the proposed graph ensued and the Council concurred with the graph in relation to the minimum and maximum sign area li.'nitations . The perimeter method of measuring and determining square footage of signs was discussed and the Council agreed that this method was the most Practicable and should be continued. The Council directed the staff to develop a revised graph that would incorporate the present minimums and maximums for sign sizes but allow for a greater rate of sign area for the smaller business buildings. Motion by John Leary and seconded by Theodore Willard that the meeting be adjourned. Voting in favor were: Howard Heck, Earl Rydberg, john Leary and Theodore Willard. Voting against none. Motion carried unanimously. The City Council meeting adjourned at 9:00 P. M. Clerk Mayor -1-
