HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968 08-08 CCM Special Session 207 Minutes of the Proceedings of the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota August 8, 1968 The City Council met in special session and was called to order by Mayor Pro -tem Howard Heck at 7:52 P.M. Roll Call: Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard. Also present were: D. G. Poss, Richard Schaeffer and Jerry Dulgar. The Council opened the meeting by considering Application No. 68041 submitted by Nordling and Welter requesting approval of site and building plans The City Manager reviewed for the Council and those present the history of the zoning, the past land use and past plans for the land in the area under consider- . ation. Residents of the area and Mr. Welter discussed the plans with the deliberation b th Council. Lengthy y e Council ensued. Motion by Earl Rydberg and seconded by Theodore Willard to approve Application No. 68041 with the following conditions and stipulations: 1. The building plans are subject to the Building Inspector's final approval with respect to applicable building codes; 2, drainage and utility plans are subject to the final approval of the City Engineer; 3. a performance agreement and performance bond (in an amount to be determined by the City Manager) shall be submitted to the City to guarantee the installation of site improvements as shown on the plans submitted and approved as required by ordinance; 4. the property shall be re- platted into a single parcel, includ- ing appropriate road dedications along Bryant and Camden Avenues; S. the eleven (11) trees, as shown on the plans, along Bryant Avenue are to be of the six inch or larger variety; 6. ten (10) parking spaces are to be moved from the parking lot in the southwest corner of the development to the parking lot in the southeast corner of the development; 7. all locks within the complex are to be of a dead bolt variety so as to help inhibit unauthorized entry. Voting in favor were: Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard. Voting against were: none. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Theodore Willard and seconded by Earl Rydberg that the meeting be adjourned. Voting in favor were: Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard. Voting against were: none.
