HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963 11-05 CCM Special Session-Election Canvass Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center In the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota November 5, 1963 The Village Council met in Special Session as the Canvass Board of the Election and was called to order at 9 :59 P. M. Roll Call: Mayor Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, Henry Dorff, John Leary, and Howard Heck, The Mayor announced that the order of business was the consideration of the returns of the Village Election held November 5, 1963. The offices up for election were Mayor, Trustee and Treasurer. Ballots were cast for candidates as follows: For the Office of Mayor. Received Gordon Erickson 600 For the Office of Trustee: Howard Heck 580 John Nicolay 1 For the Office of Treasurer: Theodore Vuillard 571 After completingtbe foregoingcanvass., member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED, by the VI llage Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that the following are hereby declared the duly elected officials: Mayor Gordon M. Erickson Trustee Howard Heck Treasurer Theodore Vuillard The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted In favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Henry Dorff, John Leary, Howard Heck and Phil Cohen and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Phil Cohen and seconded by Henry Dorff to adjourn. Motion carried. f M r k
