HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963 10-28 CCM Regular Session r 20 - 3 Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota October 26, 1963 The Village Council met in Regular Session and was called to order by Mayor Gordon Erickson at 7:30 P. M. Roll Call: Mayor Gordon Erickson, Henry Dorff, Phil Cohen, Howard Heck and John Leary were present. Rev. Huber of Brook -Park Baptist Church gave the invocation. Motion by John Leary and seconded by Howard Heck to approve the minutes of October 21, 1963 as recorded. Motion carried. The Village Administrator was instructed to advise the Shell Oil Company and George Jenson that they must apply for a new Special Use Permit for a service station on the southwest corner of 69th Avenue and Humboldt Avenue because the previous Special Use Permit has automatically expired and cannot be extended or renewed by the Village Council without public hearings. Motion by John Leary and seceded by Henry Dorff to release the $500.00 cash escrow to J. R. Murphey for street improvements in J. R. Murphey 2nd Addition. Motion carried. Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Phil Cohen to release the Meet bond in the amount of $7300.00 for Ryan Lake Terrace Addition. Motion carried,. Motion by Phil Cohen and seconded by John Leary to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute an agreement with independent School District #279 for the location of a shelter building on school property at the Garden City School. Motion carried. Motion by Henry Dorff and seconded by Phil Cohen to approve the appointment of Dorothy Jacobson as a Tiimnastics Instructor at a salary of $4, 00Aour. Motion carried. The bills having been audited, motion was made by Henry Dorff and seconded by Howard Heck to order paid the bills set forth in the schedule attached to these minutes and made a part thereof.
