Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village
Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center
In the County of Hennepin and State of
Minnesota
November 3, 1964
The Village Council met in special session as the Canvass Board
of the Election and was called to order at 8 :30 P. M.
Roll Call:- Mayor Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, Henry Dorff,
John a Y and Howard l-3eck were present.
The Mayor announced that the order of business was the consideration
of the returns of the election held November 3, 1964. The offices up for
election were Trustee and Clerk.
Ballots wem cast for candidates as follows:
For the Office of Trustee: Received
John Leary 6
For the Office of Clerk:
Earl Simons 6,187
After completing the foregoing canvass member Henry Dqrff introduced
the following resolution and moved its adoption
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn
Center that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that
the following are hereby declared the duly elected officials:
Trustee John Leary
Clerk Earl Simons
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Phil Cohen and Upon vote being taken thereon fold vote

In favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Henry Dorff, john Leary, Hvw d Heck
and Phil Cohen and the following voted agaimt the same: None,, where ipon
said, resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
_Motion by john Leary and seconded by Howard Heck to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 1: IS A. m.
