HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964 05-05 CCM Special Session-Election Canvass 265 IVAnutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota May 5, 1964 The Village Council met in Special Session as the Canvass Board of the Election and was called to order at 8 :15 P. M. Roll Call: -Mayor Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, Henry Dorff, John Leary, and Howard Heck. The Mayor announced that the order of business was the consideration of the returns of the Library Bond Referendum held May 5 1964. The Referendum Question was: Shall the Village of Brooklyn Center sell its general obligation bonds in the principal amount of $260,000 for the purpose of constructing and equipping a Library, such sum to be reduced by the amount of a Federal Grant, If any be received. Ballots were cast as follows: For 1522 Against 586 Motion by Phil Cohen and seconded by John Leary to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 9 :45 P. M. Meyor V6rk -1-
