HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962 09-19 CCM Special Session 253 Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota September 19 1962 The Village Council met in Special Session and was called to order by Mayor Cordon Erickson at 7:50 P. M. Roll Call: Mayor Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, Henry Dorff and John Leary were present. Carl Carlson was absent. The Village Council discussed 1963 wage rates with Mr. Swenson, Business Agent of the union. Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSAL AND APPROVING CONTRA FORM VI IERE AS, the village administrator and village engineer have reported that on September 19, 1962 they received written quotations for the furnishing of materials and all labor f or the installing of underground conduit and hand - holes on County Road 10 from Xerxes Avenue to Thomas Avenue as a part of project No. 1961.42 and that said quotations were as follows: Lee Electric Company $ 3,748.00 Collins Electric Company 4,676.00 Lambie Electric Corp. 4, 234.08 NOW 'THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center that the quotation of Lee Electric Co. in the amount of $ 3,748.00 as to the furnishing of all work labor and materials in connection with the construction of underground conduit for traffic signals in connection with project 1961 -42, according to the plans and specification therefore now on file in the office of the Village Clerk is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. Mo do n fo r th a adoptio n of th a fo reg o in g reso lu tics n was duly seconded by Member Howard Fleck and u p o n vote b eing taken th ereo n the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, Henry Dorff and Sohn Leary and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Henry Dorff and seconded by John Leary to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 12 :45 A. M. Mayor lark
