HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962 10-22 CCM Special Session Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center In the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota October 22, 1962 The Village Council met in Regular Session and was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Carl Carlson at 7 :30 P. M. Roll Call: Carl Carlson, john Leary, Howard Heck and Henry Dorff were present. Mayor Gordon Erickson was absent. Motion by john Leary and seconded by Howard Heck to appoint William Emholtz as permanent laborer in the street department. Motion carried. Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Henry Dorff to approve the following licenses: Heating License Northern Air Conditioning Company 2608 Bloomington Ave. So. Plumbers License Frank M. Weishaar 12848 Filmore St. N.E. Anoka, Minnesota douse Moving License Dale Movers 7816 Central Avenue N.E. Motion carried. a The bills having audite been audit motion was m ade by Hen Dorff and seconded by John Leary to order paid the bills set forth in the schedule attached to these minutes and made a part thereof. Motion carried. Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXECUTE LEGAL INSTRUMENTS TO TRANSFER VILLAGE PROPERTY TO MINNESOTA DEPARTMENI OF HLQM WAY FOR RI HT -OF- A WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Highways proposes to widen Trunk Highway #152 through the Village of Brooklyn Center and, WHEREAS, the Department of Highways has offered the Village of 1 for rig of way over a of Tract C Center 700 Brooklyn C r$ g Y i� Registered Land Survey #817 and part of lots 19 and 20 under the subdivision #25. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Village of Brooklyn Center accept the offer of the Minnesota Deparment of Highways in the amount of $1700 as set forth in the option to be executed by the Mayor and the Clerk and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute all legal instruments required to convey such right -of-way to the Minnesota Department of Highways. seconded b o tian was dui Y The motion for the ado resolution Y T adoption of the foregoing res p member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof; Carl Carlson, Henry Dorff, John Leary and Howard Heck and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. _1_ r -- 53 Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Henry Dorff to approve the minutes of the Special meeting of October 15, 1962. Motion carried. The Village Council discussed matters pertaining to the improvements to the municipal water system. Motion by John Leary and seconded by Howard Heck to adjourn. Motion carried.
