HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962 11-07 CCM Special Session-Election Canvass r 79 Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the Cotunt y of Hennepin and State of *Minnesota November 7, 1962 The Village Council met in Special Session as the Canvass Board of the Election and was called to order at 9 :00 P. M. Roll Call: Mayor Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, Carl Carlson, John Leary and Henry Dorff. The Mayor announced that the order of business was the consideration of the returns of the Village Election held November 6, 1962. The offices up for election were Clerk, Trustee and Assessor. Ballots were cast for candidates as follows For the Office of Clerk: Received Henry Dorff 5917 For the Office of Trustee: Phillip Cohen 3823 John Nicolay 2577 For the Office of Assessor: Raymond Ness 1645 John Nordberg 4878 After completing the forgoing canvass, member Carl Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that the following are hereby declared the duly elected officials: Clerk Henry Dorff Trustee Phillip Cohen Assessor john Nordberg The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted I� 11 v 9 g In favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Carl Carlson, john Leary, Henry Dorff and Howard Heck and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Henry Dorff to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9 :10 P. M. Mayor ark
