HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961 12-11 CCM Regular Session Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota December 11, 1961 The Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center met in Regular session and was called to order by Mayor William Super at 7 :35 P. M. Roil Call: Mayor William Super, Carl Carlson, Henry Dorff and Howard Heck were present. Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Carl Carlson to approve the minutes of the Regular meeting of November 27, 1961, as recorded. Motion carried. Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Henry Dorff to approve the final plat of North River Estates. Motion carried. Trustee Clifford Wellman arrived at the meeting at 8 :05 P. M. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Clifford Wellman to approve the following applications for licenses: Electrical Hoffman Electric Company, 239 West 7th St., St. Paul Jewell Electric Company, 1110 Washington Ave. So., Mpls. H2 Midwest Sheet Metal Works, 340 Taft St. NE, Minneapolis Motion carried. Motion by Carl Carlson and secontod by Howard Heck that on the recommendation of the Village Administrator, the bid date for construction of Liquor Store No. 3 be set for January 15, 1962. Motion carried. Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Carl Carlson to release to Orville Harris a $300 cash escrow for street purposes and to accept a $300 bond from Hipp Construction Co. for the same street improvement, Motion carried. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Clifford Wellman to accept the report, dated November 6, 1961, on waterworks improvements from Black and Veatch, and Carter, Krueger & Associates, Inc. Motion carried.. Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Carl CarlmW to authorize the Village Administrator and the Village Engineer to contact other villages to study the possibility of a joint action with them for a water contract with the City of Minneapolis. Motion carried. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Clifford Wellman to accept the Justice Report of Raymond Benson for the month of September 1961. Motion carried. The bills having been audited, motion was made by Henry Dorff and seconded by Clifford Wellman to order paid the bills set forth on the schedule attached to these Minutes and made a part hereof. Motion carried. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Henry Dorff to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 11 :10 P.M.
