HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961 01-20 CCM Special Session Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota January 20, 1961 The Village Council met in Special session and was called to order by Mayor William Super at 8:10 P.M. Roil Call: Mayor William Super, Henry Dorff, Howard Heck, Carl Carlson and Clifford Wellman were present. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Carl Carlson that all part -time employees.of Liquor Store No. l who, by their own statement, have admitted iniquities be immediately dismissed from service with the Village. Motion carried. Motion by Clifford Wellman to reinstate James Fischbach as Manager of Liquor Store No. 1 for a period not to exceed 90 days, upon the suggested compromise of Mr. Fischbach's counsel. The Mayor called three times for a second on the above motion and there being none, the motion failed. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Howard Heck that the Village Attorney proceed pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 197.46 with removal of James Fischbach as Manager of Liquor Store No. 1 on the following grounds: a. He has failed to supervise and instruct the employees of Liquor Store No. 1 with.the result that some employees have been consuming beer on the premises of the store, and in some cases such beer has been taken from the stock of the store without payment therefor. b=. He has failed to exercise reasonable care to detect or prevent substantial losses in merchandise or money from Liquor Store No. 1. C. He has failed to maintain adequate records of incoming merchandise with the result that some merchandise delivered to the store does not appear on the inventory records of the store. d. He has accepted merchandise from suppliers which he has kept for his personal use or for the use of other employees of the store, and it appears that in some instances this merchandise may have been given by the supplier in return for the promotion of that supplier's products. e. He has failed to, maintain the premises of the liquor store in a neat and' orderly manner. William Super, Henry Dorff, Carl,Carlson and Howard Heck voted in favor thereof, and Clifford Wellman voted against the same. Motion carried. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Howard.Heck to adjourn. Motion carried. Mayor Clerk 09
