HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961 03-06 CCM Special Session r X33 Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota :arch 6, 1%1 The Village Council met in Special session and was called to order by Mayor William Super at 7:40 P.M. Roll Call: Mayor William Super, Carl Carlson, Henry Dorff, Howard Heck and Clifford Wellman were present. Member Carl Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION TERMINATING APPOINTMENT OF JAMES FISCHBACH AS LIQUOR STORE MANAGER BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER AS FOLLOWS: 1. The suspension of James Fischbach is hereby made permanent, and he is hereby removed as manager of Liquor Store No. I located at 6445 Lyndale Avenue North, it being the judgment of this Council that the public welfare will be promoted by said removal. 2. Said James Fischbach shall be paid through December 28, 1960, together with accrued vacation pay. 3. The Village Administrator shall forthwith give said James Fischbach notice of said removal, together with a copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted In favor thereof: Carl Carlson, Henry Dorff, Howard Heck, William Super, and Clifford Wellman; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Henry Oorff that the Mayor appoint a 3 -man committee to investigate the rumors of misconduct of the liquor stores and their operations. Notion carried. Henry Dorff and Howard Heck were appointed by the Iiayor to serve on the aforementioned committee. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Huard Heck to adjourn. Motion carried.
