HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961 03-21 CCM Special Session Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State -of Minnesota March 21, 1%1 The Village Council met in Special session at the Fire Station, 63d and Osseo Road, with members of the Civil Defense Unit to discuss Civil Defense matters with them and representatives of the State and County Civil Defense organization. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 10:05 P.M. Roil Call: Mayor William Super, Carl Carlson, Henry Dorff, Howard Heck and Clifford Wellman were present. Member Carl Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR ONE 750- GALLON FIRE PUMPER WHEREAS, the Assistant Village Administrator and the Village Engineer have reported that on February 27, 1961, at 2.00 P.M., they opened and tabulated bids received for the furnishing of one 750 gallon fire pumper and that said bids were as follows: Bidder Bid Price General Safety Equipment Corp. $20,977.00 Ward La France Truck Corporation 22,411.70 Peter P rsch & Sons Co. 21,450.00 FWD Corporation 19,895.00 {Public Works Equipment Co., .arc: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by t-he .,Vitlage of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Pater Pirsch & Sons Co. in the amount of; d50.�W for the furnishing of one 75{x- gallon fire pumper in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution -was duly seconded by member Clifford Wellman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Carl Carlson, Henry Dorff, Howard Heck, William Super and Clifford Wellman; and the following voted against the same! none; where- upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Howard Beck that the Village Attorney be instructed to inform James Fischbach's attorney that his demand for reinstatement is rejected. Upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Carl Carlson, Henry Dorff, Howard Heck and William Super; and the following voted against the same: Clifford Wellman; whereupon said motion was declared carried. Motion by Howard Heck and seconded by Clifford :Wellman to adjourn. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 11:30 .M. Mayor Clerk
