HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960 10-06 CCM Special Session 't Minutes of the Eroceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota October 6, 1960 The Village Council met in Special Session for a public hearing on special assessments to be levied in 1960. The meeting was called to order by Mayor William N. Super at 8:00 P.M. Roll Call: Mayor William Super, Clifford Wellman, Russ Jones, and Wayne Gageby were present. Trustee Carl Carlson was absent. The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for consideration of objections to any of the assessments for the following improvements: Sanitary Sewer Laterals Nos. 1959 -31, 1959-32, 1959 -33, 1959 -34, 1959 -35, 1959 -36, 1959 -37, 1959 -39, 1959 -40, 1959 -41, 1959-45, 1959 -46, 1959 -47, 1959 -48, 1959 -49, 1959 -50, 1959 -53, 196o -8, 1960 -9 196o -15, 1960 -16, 1960 -17, 1960 -18, 1960 -19, 1960 -20, 1960 -21, 1960 -23, 196o -24, 1960 -26, 1960 -27, i96o -28, 1g6o -3o, 1960 -35, 1960 -38, 1960 -44, 196o -45, 1960 -46, 1960 -1o, 196o -11, 196o -12, 1960 -14, 1960 -22, 1960 -41, 196o -42, 196o -51, 1960 -57, 1958 -14, 1958 -18, and Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Nos. 1959 -19A, 1959 -19B, 1960 -2, 1960 -3, 1 - 1960 -5, 1960 -6, and Portions of Sanitary Sewer - 0 l 6o -14 1 6o -20 Laterals 1960 1 1960 -12 9 9 , 1960 -22 1960 -41, 1960 -42, 1960 -45, and 1960 -51, and Lift Station 1960 -39, and Storm Sewers Nos. 1960 -7, 1960 -55, and Water Improvements Nos. 1960 -29, 1960-37, 1960 -47, 1960 -59, and Public Utilities Water Nos. 1959 -27 and 1959 -52, and Oil Stabilizing No. 1959 -30, and Sewer Connections and Water Hookups. The Clerk produced an affidavit of publication of Notice of Hearing on the assessments showing one week's publication thereof in the official newspaper, the publication being on September 15, 1960, corrections and additional Sewer Connections being on September 22, 1960, which affidavits were examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file, The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to .present their objections to the above assessments. After all persons desiring to speak thereon had been heard, it was determined to close the hearing on certain assessments as indicated in the following motions. Motion by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Clifford Wellman to close the hearing on special assessments for the sanitary sewer interceptor Project Nos. 1959 -19A, 1959 -19B, 1960 - ?, 1960 -3, 1960 -4, 196o -5, 1960 -6, and portions of sanitary sewer laterals 1960 -10, 1960 -12, 196o -14, 196o-2o, 1960 -22, 196o -41, 1960 -42, 1960 -45, and 1960 -51 and Lift Station 1960 -39. Motion carried. Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Wayne Gageby to close the hearing on special assessments for storm sewer Project No. 1960 -55, Motion carried. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby to adjourn the hearing on Storm Sewer Project No. 1960 -7 until 8 :00 PM, October 11, 1960. Motion carried. Motion by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Russ Jones to close the hearing on special assessments for Street Improvement Project No. 1959 -30. Motion carried. Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Wayne Gageby to adjourn the hearing on the special assessments for Sanitary Sewer Laterals until October 11, 1960, at 8:00 PM and further to continue the hearings on October 17 , , 1960 at 8;00 PM.
