HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960 11-02 CCM Special Session ilinutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota November 2, 1960 The Village Council met in special session and was called to order by Mayor William Super at 7 :30 P.M. Roll Call: Mayor William Super, Clifford Wellman, Wayne Gageby and Carl Carlson were present. Clerk Russ Jones was absent. In the absence of Clerk Russ Jones, Administrator A. J. Lee recorded the minutes. Member Wayne Gageby introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF VOTING MACHINES IN CERTAIN PRECINCTS AND PAPER BALLOTS IN OTHER PRECINCTS WHEREAS, it appears that at the election to be held on November 8, 1960, the number of votes may exceed the capacity of the voting machines now available to the Village, and WHEREAS it appears it is proper to utilize voting machines in certain precincts and paper ballots in other precincts, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1. The following precincts shall be provided with voting machines for use by the voters: Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. 2. The following precincts shall be provided with paper ballots exclusively for use by the voters: Precinct 5. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Carl Carlson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: William Super, Clifford Wellman, Wayne Gageby, Carl Carlson; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby to adjourn. Notion carried. May r Clerk
