HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960 12-06 CCM Special Session-Election Canvass December 6, 1%0 Pursuant to due call and notice the meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall on the 6th day of December, 1960 at 9:00 P.M. The following members were present: William H. Super, Carl Carlson, Wayne Gageby and Russ Jones. Trustee Clifford Wellman was absent. CANVASS BOARD MEETING The Mayor announced that the order of business was the considera- tion of the returns of the Village Election held December 6, 1960. The offices up for election were Clerk, Trustee, Assessor, and Justice of Peace. The results are as follows: For the Office of Clerk: Rece ivied Henry A. Dorff 1166 George H. Elwell 802 For the Office of Trustee: Merritt R. Cody 98 Howard Heck 1197 Joseph J. Kennedy 145 William H. O'Neil 102 Willard Taves 423 For the Office of Assessor: Malvin 0. Ness 354 John Nordberg 1614 For the Office of Justice of Peace: Marvin L. Ludwig 329 Theodore B. Miksaa 342 John Wingard 1255 After completing the foregoing canvass, member Carl Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that the following are hereby declared the duly elected officials: Clerk Henry A. Dorff Trustee Howard Heck Assessor John Nordberg Justice of Peace John Wingard The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Wayne Gageby and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: William N. Super, Carl Carlson, 'Mayne Gageby, and Russ Jones; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Mayne Gageby to adjourn. Motion carried. (The meeting was adjourned at 10:20 P.M.) Mayor Clerk
