HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960 09-19 CCM Special Session r Minutes of the Proceedings of the Village Council at a Special Meeting in the Village of Brooklyn Center, Counter of Hennepin, State of Minnesota September 19, 1960 The Village Council met in Special Session and was called to order by Mayor William N. Super at 8:00 P.M. Roll Call: Mayor William Super, Clifford Wellman, and Russ Jones were present. Wayne Gageby and Carl Carlson were absent. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Russ Jones to approve a contract with Ray Jordan for the sodding of sanitary sewer interceptor easements along the Mississippi River in the amount of $2958.60, based on the unit prices quoted. Motion carried. Clifford Wellman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CANCELLATION OF SPECIAL ASSES3IEN'I'S ON LAND ACQUIRED FOR PARK PURPOSES AND PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION OF THE LIABILITY THEREFOR The Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center resolves as follows: 1. The special assessments due and to become due against property being purchased for park purposes known as that part of Lot 63, Auditor's Subdivision 218 lying southeasterly of State Highway 100, together with accrued interest and penalties thereon may be and are hereby cancelled and the clerk is directed to notify the Auditor of Hennepin County of this action. 2. The amount of said assessments shall be established in the Village accounts as an account receivable to be paid from time to time from park funds as the same become due or as directed by the Village Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Russ Jones, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: William Super, Russ Jones and Clifford Wellman, and the following voted againstthe same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Russ Jones; and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: William Super, Russ Jones and Clifford Wellman, and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
