The Village Council met in regular session and was called to order
by William Super, Mayor, at 8 :15 P.M.
Roll Call: Aliam N. Super, Clifford Wellman and Wayne "by were present.
Carl Carlson arrived Later at the meeting as indicated below.
Member Wayne Gageby introduced the following resolutions and moved
its adoption:
RESCUXXON ACCEPT=Q BID
Whereas, the Village Administrator and Assistant Administrator
have reported that on December 8, at 2 P.M. they opened and
tabulated the bids received for the furnishing of a High
Pressure Portable Steam Generator and Cleaner in accordance with
the specifications, and that said bids were as follows:
(1) The Zeco Company - $1891 *40 less trade -is allowance
of $215 for a net cost of $1676.40.
(2) Fleet Supp4 and Machine Company - $1695.00 less 2%
for cash within 30 days of delivery for s net price of
$1661.10.
NOW, THMWORR, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the low bid of
Fleet Supply and Machine Company as to the furnishing of a
Malsbary -Hodel 250 -OEMS for the amount of $1661.10 is deemed
to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder for village
purposes, and said bid is hereby accepted.
The motion for the adopUb of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Clifford Wellman; and upon vote being taken the following voted
in favor thereof: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman and Wayne Gageby;
and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted.
Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the
Village Council recess so that they my canvass the voting machines at the
polls. Motion carried.
The:-Village Council - meeting for December 8, 1959 was reconvened at
9:50 P.M. Carl.:Carlson was present at this time in addition to the members
present at.the time of convening at 8 :15.
Motion by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Carl Carlson to approve the
plumbing license of Economy Plumbing at 1125 Washington Avenue South.
Motion carried.
Motion by Carl Carlson-and seconded by Wayne Gageby to accept the J ustice
of Peace report of John.Wingard for the month of October, 1959•
Motion by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Carl - Carlson to retain the
Minder Engineering Company for.the.design of.a storm sewer interceptor on
70th Avenue.between.the Mississippi River and Palmer Luke.as recommended
by the Village Administrator. Nation carried
Motion by Wayne Gageby and seconder! by Carl Carlson to Athorize
the Village Administrator to employ another engineer at a salary of
approximately $500 per month. Motion carried.
Member Carl Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING SALE OF PROPERTY
AND AUTHORIZI E EXECUTION OF DEED

WHEREAS, the Park Board of the Village of Brooklyn Center
has heretofore entered into an agreement with Charles Gorian
for the sale of property hereinafter described to said Charles
Gorian, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has been advised with respect
to said proposed sale of land,
NOW, THEREFU0 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of
the Village of Brooklyn Ce&r as follows:
1. It is hereby determined that the following described
land is no longer required for public purposes, and it is
in the best interests of the Village that such land be sold;
The North 84 feet of the West 125 feet of the East 360 feet
of that part of Tract C, Registered Land Survey No. 40
Files of Registrar of Titles, County of Hennepin, lying
West of Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 619.
2. The proposed sale to Charles Gorian of said property
for the sun of $2500, is hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute all
necessary documents to complete the aforesaid transaction.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Clifford Wellman, and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Wayne Gageby
and Carl Carlson, and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon
said resolution was duly passed and adopted.
Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby to adjourn.
Motion carried.
