Minnesota, including all accounts audited
by said Council.
February 23, 1960
The Village Council met in regular session and was called to order by
Mayor William N. Super at 8:18 P.M.
crll Call: Mayor Super, Carl. Carlson, Russ Jones, Wayne Gageby and
Clifford Wellman were present.
Motion by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Carl Carlson that the minutes
of the regular meeting of February 9, 1960 be approved as recorded.
Clifford Wellman abstained from voting. Motion carried.
Member Wayne Gageby introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
WHEREAS, The Village Administrator and Purchasing Agent have
reported that on February 19, 1960 at 2:00 P.M. they opened
and tabulated bids received for Gasoline, Fuel Oil and Diesel
Fuel and that said bids were as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the low bids of
Ford Deep Rock Oil Company for Item 2 (Fuel Oil) in the amount
of $. 11-375 per gallon and Item 3 (Diesel Fuel) in the amount
of $.11375 per gallon, and
the low bids of Socony Mobil Oil Company for Item l (Regular
Gas) in the amount of $.1675 and Item lA (Ethyl Gas) in the
amount of $.1975 per gallon are deemed to be the best bids
submitted by a responsible bidder for Village Purposes and
said bids are hereby accepted.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Clifford Wellman and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: William N. Super, Carl Carlson, Russ
Jones, Wayne Gageby and Clifford Wellman, and the following voted against
the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.
Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Carl Carlson that the Village Council
_;table bids for voting machines. Motion carried.
Member Carl Carlson introduced the following amendment to
the Village Ordinances and moved its adoption:
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SPECIAL
USES IN SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE
DISTRICTS AND AMENDING SECTION
35 -703 OF THE ZONING caDINANCE
The Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center ordains:
Section 1. Section 35 -703 of the Village Ordinances entitled
"SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE (R -1) SPECIAL USES" is hereby amended
to add the following thereto:
"i. Temporary sales office. A time limitation shall be
specified in the special use permit, and at the
end of such period all structures shall be removed
which do not conform to the requirements of the
R -1 district."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after
its legal publication.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing amendment to an Ordinance
was`duly seconded by member Wayne Gageby, and upon vote being taken
thereon] the following voted in favor thereof: William N. Super, Carl
Carlson, Russ Jones, Wayne Gageby and Clifford Wellman; and the follow-
ing voted against the same: None; whereupon said ordinance was declar6d
duly passed and adopted.
Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the petition
for rexorii#g the property located on that part of Lot 6, Guilford's
Outlots,• WUg westerly of Trunk Highway 100, submitted by John F.
Rowland, be'
'returned to the Planning Commission to be considered as a
petition for special use permit in R -1 District with a limitation
of ZYears occupancy. Motion carried.
Mote by °.lCarlson and seconded by Wayne Gageby to instruct the
Villa P;4 nistrator to draw specifications and advertise for bids for
a nevi, ce car, with a trade -in on the 1959 Model, said bids to be
o an`March 21, 1960 at 2:00 P.M. Motion carried.
Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the Village
refund taxes on special assessments to Edward Gulcowski, 4506 Winchester
Lane, due to the fact that he was taxed twice, said refund to be in
the amount of $110.58. Motion carried.
As set forth on the schedule attached to these minutes and made
a pmt hereof entitled "The Bills Audited and Paid at the Meeting of
February 23, 1960" were audited and ordered paid.
Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby to adjourn.
Motion carried.
