HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958 10-14 CCM Regular Session Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, including all accounts audited by said Coimcil. 0etober 14, 1958 The Village Council met in regular session and was called to order by William N. Super, Mayor, at 8:10 p.m. Roll Call: William Xt Super, Clifford Wellman, Carl Carlson, Wayne Gageby, and Russ Jones were present. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the Village Council approve the minutes of the regular meeting of September 23, 1958 and the special meeting of September 30, 1958. The minutes were approved as recorded. Motion carried. The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for the consideration of proposed Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1958 -46. The Clerk produced an affidavit of publication of notice of hearing on the proposed improvement showing one weeks' publication thereof in the official news - paper, the publication being on October 2, 1958, which affidavit was examined and found unsatisfactory; therefore the Clerk was directed to re- publish the notice. Date of new hearing to be set for November 25, 1958. Motion by Carl Carlson and seconded by Clifford Wellman that the Village Council uphold the recommendation of the Planning Commission that a building permit be granted on the lot of 4007 - 69th Avenue North upon the filing with the Village office a letter agreeing to furnish and record a Registered Land Survey within thirty days. The Village office has received the required letter. Motion carried. Motion by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Carl Carlson that the application of Gordon Sandahl for a cesspool installers license be approved, providing he file with the Village office the proper insurance policy required by the village. The insurance policy shall provide full coverage. Motion carried. Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Wayne Gageby to approve the following licenses: Heating License: Sassca, Inc. 475 -8th Ave. N.W.- Mpls.,Minn. Lamb Plmbg. & Htg. Co. 114 So, 3rd St.- Mpls.,Minn. Plumbers License: Lamb Plmbg. & Htg. Co. 3.14 So. 3rd St.- Mpls.,Minn. Well Drillers License: McAlpine Bros. Dayton, Minnesota Motion carried. Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Clifford Wellman that the contract of Peter Lemetti Construction Co.. for project No. 1958 -11 be increased in the amount of $1,208.10. The increase is due to the addition of extra water services being added to the contract. Motion carried. Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the contract of Peter Lametti Construction Co. for project No. 1958 -10 be increased in the amount of $2,099.71 due to the re- routing of the sewer mains and extra connections after the contract was let. Motion carried. Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Carl Garlson that the contract of Randall Bros. for the construction of Project No. 1958 -31 be increased $910.00 for installing 65 feet of encasement pipe between railroad tracks to provide protection for the water main, in the event additional spur tracks are construct- ed. Motion carried. The bills set forth on the schedule attached to these minutes and made a part hereof entitled "The Bills Audited and Ordered Paid at the Meeting of October 14, 1958" were audited and ordered paid.
