April 1, 1958
The Village Council met in special session and was called to order by
William N. Super, Mayor, at 8:00 P.M.
Roll Call: William N. Super, Carl Carlson, Clifford Wellman, and Russ
Jones were present; Wayne Gageby was absent.
Member Russ Jones introduced the following resolution and moved its adop-
tion:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR WATER MAIN DMOVEMENT NO. 1958 -11 AND
DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The plans and specifications for Water Main Improve-
ment No. 1958 -11 prepared by Minder Engineering Co., Engineer,
are hereby approved and ordered filed with the Clerk.
2. The Clerk shall advertise for bids for such improvement
by publication at least once in the official newspaper and in the
Construction Bulletin, the date of first publication not less
than three weeks prior to the date for receipt of bids. Said
notice shall state that no bids will be considered unless sealed
and filed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's
check or certified check payable to the Clerk in the amount of not
less than five percent of the bid.
3. Bid date is set for May 6, 1958.
4. Village Engineer and Administrative Assistant are
authorized to open and tabulate bids at 2 o'clock p.m.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Carl Carlson, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof:
William N. Super, Carl Carlson, Clifford Wellman and Russ Jones; and the following
voted against the same: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed
and adopted.
Member Russ Jones introduced the following resolution and moved its adopt-
ion:

FOR SANITARY SEWER DMOVEMENT NO. 1958 -10
AND DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The plans and specifications for Sanitary Sewer Improve -
ment No. 1958 -10 prepared by Minder Engineering Co., Inc., Engineer,
are hereby approved and ordered filed with the Clerk.
2. The Clerk shall advertise for bids for such improvement
by publication at least once in the official newspaper and in the
Construction Bulletin, the date of first publication not less
than three weeks prior to the date for receipt of bids. Said
notice shall state that no bids will be considered unless sealed
and filed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's
check or certified check payable to the Clerk in the amount of

Member Russ Jones introduced the following resolution and moved its adop-
tion:
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MANNER
OF PAYMENT OF VILLAGE ASSESSOR
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn
Center as follows:
1. It is recited that by agreement with John Nordberg,
Village Assessor, there was provided in the budget for the year
1958 the following amounts as and for reimbursement including
expenses and mileage for the services of the Village Assessor:
John Nordberg, Assessor $2400.00
Mrs. John (Sylvia) Nordberg, Deputy Assessor
$2500.00
Additional Help (to be paid through the
village office) $1500.00
2. The amounts to be paid as set forth above are hereby
confirmed and said assessor and deputy assessor shall be paid
at the following rates:
John Nordberg: $200 per month, commencing on January 31,
1958 and on the last day of each month thereafter.
Sylvia Nordberg: $208.33 per month, commencing on
January 31, 1958 and on the last day of each month
thereafter.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Clifford Wellman, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereof: William N. Super, Carl Carlson, Clifford Wellman, and Russ Jones; and the
following voted against the same: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared
duly passed and adopted.
