Super, Mayor, at 8:10 P.M. Roll Call: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Wayne Gageby, and Russ Jones were present and Carl Carlson was absent, The Mayor atmounced thatt the Council was met to receive, open, and con - sider bids for Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 1957 -38. An affidavit was presented showing publication of advertisement for bias in accordance with law and ordered placed on file. The sealed bids which bad been received were-then presented. These were opened, examined, and found to be as follows:- No. 1 F. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Clifford Wellman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Wayne Gageby, and Russ Jones; and tfe following voted against the same. None. Whereupon said resolution was declared c?uly passed and adopted. Member Clifford Wellman introduced the following resolution and moved a.f:s ad -3ption: RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CHLORINATING EQUIPMENT ON IMPROVEMENT NO. 56 -19 ANb DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. *The plans and specifications for Chlorinating Equipment Improvement Project No. 1956 -19 -3 prepared by Village Engineer, are hereby approved and ordered filed with the Clerk. 2. The Clerk shall advertise for bids for such improvement by publication at least ones in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, the date of first publication not less than ten days prior to the date forxeceipt of bids. Said notice shall state that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the Clerk in the amount of not less than five percent of the bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Wayne Gageby, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor there- �f: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Wayne Gageby, and Russ Jones; add the following voted against the same: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion made by Russ Jones and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the Village Council approve the following license applications: Plumbing License: Victor Contoski 1810 - 5th St. N.B., Mpls. Electrical License: Electric Repair Const. 424 Washington Ave. No., Mpls. Heating License: T. D. Gustafson Co. 5820 Cedar Ave., Mpls. , carried. . Motion made by Wayne Gageby to commit the Village of Brooklyn Center to make the following improvements in accordance with the resolution heretofore identified as Improvement Commitments for VA Loan Purposes. Said resolution shall have as- serted in it the following: Property to be improved: Waite's Addition Estimated Cost: $3585.34 Date of Completion: 12 months Improvements to be made: Street surfacing, boulevard sodding, planting of trees, and street signs on Quail Avenue North from 62nd Avenue North to 63rd Avenue North, and 320..21' on 62nd Avenue North as shown on Registered plat of Waite's Addition. Builder: Stephen Construction Co., Inc. -2- The foregoing motion was duly seconded by member Russ Jones, and Wn vote being taken thereon, the following vote&,In favor thereof: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Wayne Gageby, and Russ Jones; and the following voted against the same: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. The bills set forth on the schedule attached to these minutes and made a part hereof entitled "The Bills Audited and Ordered Paid at the Meeting of October 22, 1957" were audited and ordered paid. Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Russ Jones to adjourn. Motion carried.
