HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957 11-14 CCM Special Session Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota November 14, 1957 The Village Council met in special session and was called to order by William N. Super, Mayor, at 6:19 P.M. Roll Call: William N. Super, Carl Carlson, and Wayne Gageby were present. Russ Jones and Clifford Wellman were absent. In absence of Clerk Russ Jones, Kermit Kalleberg, Village Accountant took minutes of the council meeting proceedings. Member Carl Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID BE IT RESOLVED by the Villgp.Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Armco Drainage & Metal Pro- ducts, as to the furnishing of a 60' x 80' x 141 rigid steel building for garage purposes, as to specifications, for $11.307.00 is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder for village purposes, and said bid is hereby accepted. The Vil- lage Administrator is also instructed to inquire about the cost of eave additions and report at next Council meeting. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Wayne Gageby, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor there- of: William N. Super, Carl Carlson, and Wayne Gageby; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Trustee Clifford Wellman telephoned the Village Administrator prior to the meeting and informed him that he would be in favor of the Armco Drainage & Metal Products building because of the appearance of the type of building. a Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Carl Carlson to adjourn.
