December 7, 1955
The Village Council met in special session and was called to order by
Arthur Paulson, Mayor, at 8 :25 p.m.
The following members were present: Arthur Paulson, Allen Lindman,
Glen Sonnenberg and H. R. Jones.. Wayne Gageby was absent.
Member Glen Sonnenberg introduced the following resolution and
moved its,adoptions

Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the
bid of Wm. H. Ziegler Co., Inc., 2929 University
Ave. S. E., Minneapolis, Minn., for one new
Caterpillar #12 Motor Grader, Tandem Drive
Model, as to specifications, with Balderson
Plow, Power operated slide shift moldboard,
13.00 x 24, 10 -ply nylon tires, for $19,425.00,
is hereby found determined and declared to be
the most favorable bid and is hereby acc

The Clerk is directed to retain the check of
l said bidder and return checks forthwith to the
unsuccessful bidders.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Allen Lindman, and upon vote being taken thereon the fallowing voted
in favor thereof: Arthur Paulson, Glen Sonnenberg, Allen Lindman and H. R.
Jones; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolu-
tion was declared duly P P
passed and adopted.
Member Glen Sonnenberg introduced the following resolution and
,moved its adoption:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the
Minneapolis Street Railway Company be granted
approval and authority to operate a bus line
within the limits of Brooklyn Center, over such
streets as may be agreed upon between the Village
of Brooklyn Center and said Minneapolis Street
Railway Company.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
H. R. Jones, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereof: Arthur Paulson, Glen Sonnenberg, Allen Lindman and H. R. Jones; and
the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted.
Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Allen Lindman to accept
the Justice report presented by John Wingard for the month of October, 1955.
Motion carried.
Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg to per -
manently transfer from the Liquor Store Fund to the General Fund-the following
items:
Firemen's Salaries $1,692.00
Street Improvement Building excavation) ) 810.00
Civil Defense Supplies 200.00
Oiling of Parking Area 332.24
Roofing (J. Dal.sin Co.) 741.00
Miscellaneous 39.7

All members voting in favor of this motion, nays none, motion carried.
Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg to
authorize Hanley, Zimmerman & Moen to make a complete audit of the 'Municipal
Liquor Store, including a physical inventory. Motion carried.
Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Glen Sonnenberg to
authorize the purchase of an F & E Check Writer. Motion carried.
Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by H. R. Jones to pur-
chase a proper cabinet to keep receipt books and other articles. Motion
carried.
Motion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by H. R. Jones to
recess until 10:30. Motion carried.
The Village Council reconvened at 11:00 p.m.
Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Allen Lindman to have
Village Attorney render an opinion regarding street bond on Pearson's
Northport 2nd Addition. Motion carried.
