Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council
of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County
of Hennepin and State of Minnesota
January 28, 1956
The Village Council met,in special session and was called to order
by William N. Super, Mayor, at 10 :00 a.m.
The following members were present: William N. Super, Wayne Gageby,
Clifford Wellman and H. R. Jones. Allen Lindman was absent.
Mayor William N Super made the following appointments:
Marshal - Elsworth Nelson
Special Health officer - Edwin Peterson
Health Officer - Dr. Robert I. Shragg
Relief Administrator - Edwin Peterson
Planning Commission for
two (2) year term - Sigurd Edling
Paul Wilson
Kenneth Sacre
Village Attorney - Larson, Loevinger, Lindquist,
Freeman & Fraser
Health Committee - Chairman: Clifford Wellman
Allen Lindman
Wayne Gageby
Street & Public Works - Chairman: Wayne Gageby

Allen Lindman
Building & Fire Department
Relations - Chairman: Allen Lindman

Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Wayne Gageby that the
r appointments made by William N. Super, Mayor, be accepted. Motion carried.
Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Clifford Wellman to per -
manently transfer $15,000.00 from the Liquor Store Fund to the General Fund
for art
p payment to Wm. H. Ziegler Co., Inc. on Caterpillar #12 Motor Grader,
the balance to be paid on or before July 1, 1956. Motion carried.
Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by Clifford Wellman to
allow developers to install sanitary sewer laterals on their properties pro-
vided they post bond in the amount of 150% of the cost, also 1500 of such other
charges as may be determined by the Village CoumU, said anitary sewer
laterals to be constructed in accordance with the plans hnd specifications
l
furnished by the Village. Motion carried.
Motion made by Wayne Gageby and seconded by H. R. Jones to ad-
vertise for bids for sewer rods, specifications to be set up by the Village
Engineer. Motion carried.
Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Wayne Gageby to
authorize opening an Investment Trust Fund to be used for the investment of

all idle Village funds, including the'Liquor Store, said account to be
opened with Camden Northwestern State Barak. Motion carried.
Motion made by H. R. Jones and seconded by Clifford Wellman
to adjourn. Motion carried.
