HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956 02-01 CCM Special Session I Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center in the County of Hennepin and State of Minnesota February 1, 1956 The Village Council met in special session and was called to order by William N. Super, Mayor, at 8 :00 P. M. The following members were present: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Allen Lindman, Wayne Gageby and H. R. Jones. The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for consideration of a proposed improvement in the Village consisting of the following: Construction of a storm sewer to be constructed along the following described line:Commencing at the intersection of Shingle Creek at a point approximately 1500 feet north of the south line j of Section 35; thence in a generally westerly direction to the Osseo Road intersecting the Osseo Road at a point approximately 300 feet south of 65th Avenue; thence northwesterly along the Osseo Road a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to 65th Avenue; thence westerly along 65th Avenue as extended for a distance of approximately 3000 feet, more or less The Clerk produced an affidavit of publication of notice of hearing . on the proposed improvement showing two weeks' publication thereof in the offi- cial newspaper, the last publication being on January 26, 1956, which affidavit was examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file. The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to present arguments either for or against the proposed improvement. After hearing and considering all objections, and the property owners appearing in favor of said improvement, member Wayne Gageby introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions RESOLUTION ORDERING Il4pROVEMENT AND DETAILED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby determined that it is necessary and for the best interests of the village and the owners of property specially benefited thereby that the following improvement shall be constructed: Construction of a storm sewer to be constructed along the following described line: Commencing at the intersection of Shingle Creek at a point approximately 1500 feet north of the south line' of Section 35; thence in a generally westerly' direction to the Osseo Road intersecting the Osseo Road at a point approximately 300 feet south of 65th Avenue. Said improvement shall be designated hereafter Storm Sewer Improvement No. 1956 -13. F E , 83 2. The plans and specifications for said improvement shall be prepared by the Village Engineer. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing re "solution was duly seconded by member Allen Lindman, and upon vote being taken thereon the 'following voted in favor thereof: William N. Super, Wayne Gageby, Allen Lindman, Clifford Wellman and H. R. Jones; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. It is hereby determined that it is necessary and for the best interests of the village and the owners of property specially benefited thereby that the following improvement shall be constructed: Construction of a sanitary sewer area interceptor line commencing at the lift station located approxi- mately at the intersection of 61st Avenue North - extended and Vincent Avenue North extended; thence in a generally easterly direction for a distance of about 750 feet, more or less; thence in a generally northeasterly direction for a distance of approximately 2000 feet, more or less, said northeasterly line running parallel to Shingle Creek Said improvement shall be designated hereafter Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1956 -14. 2. The plans and specifications for said improvement shall be prepared by the Village Engineer.
