I%& Village Council sett in special session sand was calked to order
by William N. Super, Maeyor, at 8:20 P.M.
The following =oars were present: William N. Supper# Allen Lin6m
Myst G&geby, Clifford Wellman and Russ Jones.

proposed iftrovement in the Village consisting of the following:
ConstrutUft of sanitary mover area interceptors which will

Included within the following boundaries:

do the East by the west side of Palmer Laksand Shingle Creek;
On the South by Highway 100, 50th Avenue as extended and the

Center, Minnesota, as follows:

benefited thereby that`the following iMrovement shall be constructed;
Construction of sanitary sewer area interceptors which will
connect to the existUg main interceptor to serve the arreo
ineluded within the following boundaries:
On the rest and North by the Ville Limits;
On the East by the west side of Palmer Lake aad Shingle Creeti;
On the South by MOMY 100, 50th Avenue as extte +d and the

with the Clerk.

of bids. Said notice shall s%tf that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and tiled and accoppanied by o it, bid bond,
cashier's check or certified cheek payable to the Cie rk in the OAMMt
of not less than five per cent (56) of tba bid.

member Clifford Wellman, and upon vote being taken hereon the following votes
in favor thereof: William N. Super, Wayne Gsgeby, Clifford Wellmsi, Allen
Lindman and R. R. Jones; and the following voted against the same: None;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for adast6oratlew of a
proposed improvement in the village consisting of the following:
Construction of sanitary sewer latiearrals an the folbr ng
described streets:
On France Avenge between 53rd Place and 57th Avenue;
An 5 52, 56th, 562 and 57th Avenues betwee Fr ance and Salim
Avenue North
the Clerk produced an affidavit of publication off' notice of hearing
on the Vtoposed improvement showing two weeks' publication thereof in the
official newspaper, the last publication being on March 1, 1956, whiff
affidavit was examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file.
The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to **Sent
arguments either for or against the proposed improvement. After hearing am
considering all objections, and the property owns appearing in favvet of
said improvement, member Allen Linn introduced the following resolution

BE IT RRSMVM by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby determined that it is necessary and for the
best interests of the Village and the owners of property specially
benefited thereby that the following improvement shall be constructed:
Construction of sanitary sewer laterals on the following
described streets:
On France Avenue between 53rd Plane and 57th Aveamse;
On 552, 56th, 562 and 57th A venues between France and Halifax
Avenue North
Said improvement shall be hereafter designated Sanitary Sewer Improvement
No. 1956 -18.
2. The plans and specifications for said improvement prepared by
the Minder Engineering Company are hereby approved and shall be filed
with the Clerk.
3. The Clerk ekA advertise for bids for such imp rovement in
the North Hennepin Poet and the Construction Bulletin, the date of first
publication not less than three (3) weeks prior to the date for rec4tipt
of bids. Said notice shall state that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond,
cashier's check or certified check payable to the Clerk in the remount
of not less than five per cent (5$) of the bid.

Motion rode by Clifford Wellman end seconded by Allen Lindman to defer
tments, if wanted, in the foregoing areas., on lots which have homes build on
..:m at the present time, the length of deferment to be determined at hearing

The motion for the adoption of t6w famping resolution was -duly seconded by
member Wayne Gageby, and upma vote-being taken thereon the following voted
in favor thereof: Williams N. Super, Clifford Wellman, 'Wayne Gageby, Allen
Lindman and H. R. Jones; and the following voted against the same: None;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
Motion made by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Allen Lindman to
accept applications for Cigarette License and Non - Intoxicating Malt Liquor
license from Elmer A. SwafflaWn 1500 - 55th Avenue North, and that said
licenses be approved and. to said party. Motion carried.
Motion made by Russ Jews and seconded by WaynYe= Gageby that the
members of the Council and Village employees who can attend the Continuation

fees. Motion carried.
Notion made by Allen Lindman and seconded by Clifford Weller t0
reinburs+e H. N. Johnston $11.00 in full settlegent of his claim for the ceet
of unplieging his sanitary sever line. Motign''carried.
