The following members veto present: William N. Super, b
Gagft, Clifford Wellman and Russ Anes. Allen Lindmsn was absent.
Member Clifford Wellman introduced the follOvIng fesolution

permit to Allison Brelwick and Clifford Breiwick to operate a land-
scaping business for a period of one year at 6225 Osseo Road with the
provision that no 'buii.lAings are to be constructed for the operation of

Motion made by Russ Josses and Seconded by Clifford Wellman to
accept petition for oil stabilizing Newton Avenue North, 69th to 70th
Avonees date of public hearing to be set later. Motion carried.
Lotion made by Russ Jones and seconded by Wayne Gageby to
accept pd1tions for water and sewer on Drew Avenue forth, 68th to 69th
Avenue, Ewing Avenue North, 67th to 68th Avenue. Motion carried.

lows.
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority
granted by Chapter 398, Laws of Mimesota, 1953•
2. A public bearing on the proposed improvement
shall be held at the Vil1W Hall in the Village on
Tuesday, May 8, 1956, at 8:00 o'clock p.m., and the
Clerk shall publish notice of the tim- and place of
hearing by two weeks' publication n the official news -
paper of the Village.
3. The area to be assessed for said iaovement
is as follows:
All lots and parcels of land abutting
Drew Avenue North from 68th to b}th
Avenue North and Ewing Avenue forth
from 67th to 68th Avenues North
The motion for the adoption of the following resolution was duly seconded
by member Wayne Gageby, and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: All members present; and the following voted
against the sages: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.

Motion made by Russ Jones to commit the Villoge of Brooklyn
Center to make the following improvements in accordance With the re*01 #4-
tion heretofore identified as Improvement Commitments for VA Loan Pur-
poses. Said resolution shall have inserted in it the following:

The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Clifford Wellman, and all mm-
hers present voting in favor thereof, the motion was carried.

to purchase sewer cleaning equdpmsnt, specifications to be drawn up by
Village Engineer, and bid opening, to be .May 8, 1956, at 8:00 p.m.

Member Russ Jones introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:

It IT XWOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of Peter Lametti Con-
struction Co. as to the furnishing of all Work, labor amtA
material In consmetion with Sanitary Sewer Area Interceptor
Improvement No. 1956 -17C according to the plans and speci-
fiestions therefor now on file in the office of the Village
Clerk is deemed to be the lowest sad best bid submitted for
said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is.he$
accepted..
BE IT FORM RESOLVED that the form of contract proposed
for execution between the Village and Peter Lametti Con -
struction Co. is approved, and the Mayor and Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on be-
half of the Village upon the filing with the village Clerk
of a bond with an a pp corporate roved co rats surety in t he amount
of X97,685.96 conditioned for the faithful performance of
said contract.

7. The village council shall motet at the village hall
in the village on Tuesday, the lot day of May, 195 at
eight o'clock p.m., for the purpose of receiving sealed bids
for the purchase of said bonds and the village clerk is
authorized and directed to cause notice of the sale of said
bonds to be given by publication ten days in Commercial West,
a financial paper published in Minuesp011ay Minnesota. Said
notice shall recite that the village will furnish printed
bonds and approving legal opinion of Messrs. Faaegre & Bens4n,
Minneapolis, Minnesota, both without expense to the purchaser,
shall require that all bids be unconditional and accompanied
by a good faith check in the amount of at least $10,000.00
and shall specify one or more interest rates in multiples of
one -tenth or one - quarter of one percent. Said notice shall .
further provide that delivery of the boaft will be made by
the v i llage within f s after the date of sale at the

office of the village clerk or, at the option of the Pur
chaser, at Minneapolis or St. Paul without expense to the
purchaser.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by member R. R. Jones, and upon vote being taken thereon
the following voted in favor thereof.: William Super, Wayne Gageby,
Clifford Wellman, and H. R. Jones; axed the following voted against the
same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.
