Super, Mayor) at 8 :15 P.M. Roll tall: William N. Supef Clifford Wellman, Carl Carlson, and Russ Jones were present; Wayne Gageby was absentl Motion made by Carl Carlson and seconded by Russ Jones to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of January 22, 19571 Motion carried. i Member Clifford Wellman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESMUTION ACCEPTING BID BE IT ,RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Bob Knowles Ford Company, as to the furnishing of a 3/4 ton 1957 Ford Truck chassis, as to specifications, for $1665 *00, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted, based upon the recommendations of the Village Engineer. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Carl Carlson and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: William No Super, Clifford Wellman., Carl Carlson, and Runs Jones; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted Motion made by Carl Carlson and seconded by Clifford Wellman that the Village purchase the utility body for a 3/4 ton truck from Clarence Canfield for *125.00, based upon the recommendations of the Village Engineer. Motion carried. Member-Clifford Wellman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:_ RESOItVtON ACCEFTING BITE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of .Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Bob Knowles Ford Company, as to the furnishing of a 1 ton 1957 Ford Truck with dump box, as to specifications, for $2,512.00, is deemed to be the lowest and beat bid submitted by a responsible 'bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted, based upon the recommendations of the Village Engineer. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Carl Carlson and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof.: William No Super, Clifford Wellman, Carl Carlson, and Russ Jones; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. #ember Carl Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption; RFSO =IO ACCEPTING BID BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Ville of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Hots Knowles Ford Company, as to the furnishing of a. 1957 Ford Police car, as to specifications, for $1,998.00, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted, upon the recommendations of the Village Engineer and police chief. 41_ The notion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution Was duly seconded by member Clifford Wellman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; William N. Super, Carl Carlson, Clifford Wellman, and Russ Jones; and the following voted against the some: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Member Clifford Wellman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION TABLING FURTHER ACTION ON BIDS BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that further action on the 'bids received for radio equipment be tabled for further examination by the Village Engineer, successful bidder to be notifed at a later date. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Russ Jones and upon note being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: William N. Super, Carl Carlson, Clifford Wellman, and Russ Jones; and the following voted against the sane; None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Motion made by Carl Carlson and seconded by Clifford Wellman that the Village grant Layne-Minnesota Company's request to change the site only for the well, in order that a new well be gilled. The completion date of this new well being May 15, 1957, or the contract will be cancelled. The same unit prices prevail with the new well, as in the original contract between the Village of Brooklyn Center and Layne- Minnesota Co. The contractors may use a rotary drill, providing no drilling mud enter the Jordan rock formation. Notion carried. Motion made by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Russ Jones, that the village accept the final plat of Ostrom's Northport Addition, subject to all restrictions of the platting ordinance. Motion carried. Motion made by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Russ Jones to authorize the purcham of an adding machine calculator. Motion carried. Motion made by Rues Jones and seeded by Carl Carlson that the Village accept the,sauitary sewer installations in Garden City 1st and 2nd Additions, installed by ILLean- Astleford Co. & O'Brien Construction Co., based upon the recommendation of Minder Engineering Co., Inc.
