Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center
in the County of Hennepin and State of
Minnesota
May 21, 1957
The Village Council met in special session and was called to order by
William N. Super, Mayor, at 7;30 P.M. at the Northport SObOOl.

Motion made by Wayne Gafgeby and seconded by Clifford Vey to a Ov*
the final plat of Grandview place 2nd Addition; subject to the foAofaing restric-
tions:
a. Five (5 foot easement for drainage on Lots 8,
9, lb & 17, Block 3.

b. Building is hafthoml on Lots 13 through 16,
Block 3 and Lots 10 through 13, Block 2, until
such time stoma sewr is available J " for drainage.

c. Bonds to be posted.
d. Grading to be completed by September 1 1957;
said grade is to be established by the Village
Rugineer.
e. All restrictions of the platting ordinance.
Upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: William N.
Super, Carl Carlson, Clifford Wellman, and Wayne Gageby; and the following voted
against the same: None; Russ Jones abstained from voting; whereupon said motion
was declared duly passed and adopted.
The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for the consideration of
proposed Storm Sewer Improvement No. 1957
The Clerk produced an affidavit of publication of notice of hearing on
the ro sed improvement showing two weeks' publication thereof in the official P Po �P �
newspaper, the last publication being on May 16i 1957 which affidavit was exa-

mined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file.
The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to present
arguments either for or against the proposed improvement. After hearing and con -
sidering all objections, member Carl Carlson introduced the follow resOlut =
and moved its adoption:

PROPOSED IMPRO EMMT
BE Tfi RESOLVED by the Village Council, of the Village of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows
1. That the Village Council.defer action on the proposed
storm sewer identified as Storm sever Improvement No. 1957 -33-
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing motion was duly seconded by member
Clifford Wellman, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted In,favcw
thereof: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Carl Carlson, Wayne Gageby, axed
Russ Jars; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resso*
lution was declared duly passed and adopted.

ing all objections, member Russ Jones introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION DEFERRING ACTION ON
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows°
1. That the Village Council defer action on the proposed
sanitary sewer on France Avenue North fro: S3rd Place to 53rd
Avenue North, on 53rd Avenue North from France Avenue North to
Ewing Avenue North and on Ewing Avenue North from 53rd Avenue
North to 50th Avenue North.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing motion was duly seconded by member

thereof: William N. Super, Clifford Wellman, Carl Carlson, Wayne Gageby, and
Russ Jones; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
Motion by Y Wayne Gageby CliffordWellman and seconded b Wa a Ga eb that the Villa g e
negotiate with Layne Minnesota Company on a cost plus basis for screening, gravel
packing, and work done on the well located at 63rd and Osseo Road. Motion
carried.
Motion by Russ Jones and seconded by Carl Carlson that the Village
authorize Donald Fraser to negotiate with Fritz Bros. relative to sanitary sewer
interceptor easement within the Minneapolis City limits; the maximum amount of
payment of seid easement being $750.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Clifford Wellman and seconded by Wayne Gageby to adjourn.
Motion carried.
